Phil Elverum officially disbanded the Microphones in 2022 after putting out a massive career-spanning compilation called "Completely Everything" that covers 25 years of his work. He's been mostly focused on his Mount Eerie project these days, but still occasionally drops Microphones material like those unreleased stems he shared.
